King Lynn's is a town with plenty of rich maritime history; during the twelfth century, the town was a bustling port town and described as the warehouse on the wash. Initially known as 'Linn,' the city has gotten its name from the Celtic word for a lake or pool. By the mid-thirteenth century, with the allowing of the contract, the town turned into Bishop's Lynn. During the 12th century, the magnificent St Margaret's Chapel was constructed overlooking some of the most elegant ancient architecture in England, including the Trinity Guildhall , the Market Place, one of England's most impressive squares and the town also has some rich agricultural history.
